Encourage more participation in collaborative projects through planned sharing of best practices.

- Blogging
- Wikis
- Talking it up with peer
Additional Outcomes:
- Ways to eliminate the fear factor for teachers
- We need to encourage more participation through the sharing of best practices both in-house and nationally
In Education
Facilitator: Bernice Stafford
Action Item:
Let�s put "best practices" out there for schools to observe, engage with and put video on the desktop of high level pioneers in education reform
Strategies:
- Partner schools one at a time to try this model?
Additional Outcomes:
- We need to do a better job of sowing rather than telling
- Teachers need to see "best practice" in motion, rather than a field trip out to various schools
- Why not have School A do a virtual fieldtrip wit School B, in which School B is a demonstrator/mentor?
In Professional Development

Action Item:
Use videoconferencing as the tool for Professional Development
Strategies:
- Identify Professional Development typically done fact to fact and change it to videoconferencing delivery
Additional Outcomes:
- People are resistant to Professional Development. Why?
- How to get people comfortable with technology
- Regular leadership meetings via videoconferencing to develop new programs, pedagogy
- Make videoconferencing THE TOOL, not the topic for professional development
In Technology
Facilitator: Howie DiBlasi
Action Item:
Empower students through use of creative Web 2.0 tools, videoconferencing, etc. through constructivist, PBL types of learning engagements
Strategies:
- Professional Development with technology the means to solving problems, not the focus of the learning.
- Videoconferencing for mentoring, growth discussions
Additional Outcomes:
- Self-directed Learners
- Empower students wit technology tools
- Develop the 21st Century skills:
- Problem solving
- Visual Literacy
- Technical Literacy
