Determine strategies to get more classroom teachers involved

Strategies:

  • Use videoconferencing more in staff meeting/staff development, etc.

The Technology Director

Action Item:
Encourage curriculum directors to work closely with IT Directors

Strategies:

  • Stronger relationship between departments by combing the IT Director and Curriculum Department
  • Advise content provider of your curriculum requirements

Additional Outcomes:

  • Accommodate teachers request by allowing IT to open ports when necessary
  • Quality content that meets state standards and pacing guidelines.

IVC Manager

Action Item: Teachers allow students to take charge of their own education. Let them use the equipment

Strategies:

  • Create a how to on the tips of successful collaborative projects “videoconference projects booklet”
  • Share collaborative projects with your peers, blog, website, listserv, etc.

  • Increase interest in collaborative projects

The Content Provider

Action Item:
Creation of an active network of content providers to discuss these issues (and others, communicate regularly with schools and vendors.)

Strategies:

  • Increase communication between content providers
  • Increase communication between content providers and teachers

  • Technology trends, IP vs. ISDN, Internet2, High Def.
  • Content Standard: National vs State
  • Well informed and supported teachers
  • Evaluation analysis of quality programs need feedback, be responsive

The Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration, Inc. (CILC) was established in Indiana as a nonprofit corporation, and CILC has been previously recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax exempt organization described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. CILC's sole member is Vision Athena, Inc., a section 501(c)(4) tax exempt organization. CILC and Vision Athena may jointly provide services under the name CILC.
