Dr. Tyson will take a look at the definition of vocabulary and the importance of vocabulary development, specifically to enhance stdent comprehension. And, she will take time to share some strategies and resources to assist you in "spicing" up your vocabulary development techniques in the classroom.

Dr. Kimberly Tyson has worked with students from kindergarten to college level, enhancing their reading skills, improving their comprehension skills and boosting their academic confidence. In addition to her work with students, Dr. Tyson works with educators to provide school-based literacy services and job-embedded staff development that analyzes data and employs research-based tactics to improve the literacy environment.
