We have a few spots left for high school English classes, creative writing clubs and AP English classes to participate in this year's Poetry PLEASE 2007. This is an annual poetry program in collaboration with the Cleveland State University's Poetry Center. It involves poetry reading and writing, an in-class poetry writing lesson, publishing an on-line chapbook and a culminating videoconference with other classes and visiting poets in April to celebrate National Poetry Month.
Our visiting poets this year are Barbara Presnell (Piece Work) and Jared Carter (Cross this Bridge at a Walk). Contact me for more information and pass on to those you know that may be interested in joining us this year.
