Spanish Collaboration

About

The students from each school will research a Spanish-speaking country or region (Chile, Cuba, Bolivia, etc.) and write a report. They will include the following: the capital city, population, educational system, information about one important visual artist (Examples: Frida Kahlo, Picasso, Salvador Dali, etc.). The students will present a two-minute summary of their regions artist IN SPANISH to their class and 3 other classes via ITV. They may use props such as: maps, maracas, sombreros, typical music of the region, and one sample of the artist’s work. They will NOT indicate the name of the artist in their oral presentation. The students from the other sites will take turns asking questions IN SPANISH about the artist. They will try to guess the name of the artist. Each school should have 5 students prepared to present. The participating students should know enough Spanish to complete this project.
