CILC Content Dollar Bank
Is the management of your videoconferencing initiative becoming overwhelming? Want to select the programming but not pay the bills? Setting up a CILC Content Dollar Bank (CDB) allows you to have oversight of your expenditures while CILC does the work. Simply deposit your money into a restricted account and let CILC take care of the management and bill payment.
Here’s how it works:
- The interested party contracts with CILC for the management and payment of content funds. The agreed upon dollar amount is to be paid in one lump sum to CILC immediately following execution of contract.
- CILC serves as the Billing Agent for content purchased by the interested party’s member schools - not to exceed 80% of the banked dollars. Content providers will invoice CILC directly for programming.
- CILC will complete preferred vendor documentation which the interested party might require.
- CDB funds may be used for all programming from content and professional development providers on www.cilc.org as well as CILC Spotlights, CILC Symposium and CILC special events.
- CILC meets with the interested party in order to determine how to best customize the CDB’s site profile and program management.
- A customized tutorial will be provided for all participating educators.
- CILC creates a site profile on www.cilc.org for CDB account management and member school access.
Site Profile Benefits Include:
- access to programming from over 140 U.S. and international content providers.
- access to professional development and technical assistance.
- ability for member school educators to request programs.
- oversight of content dollars by interested party’s designated agent.
- account access for interested party’s designated agent to:
- Approve programming requests before submitted to the content provider.
- View all crucial connection contact and scheduling information.
- Sort requests by past or future dates.
- Check status of requests (i.e. approved by content provider).
- Cancel requests through website.
- CILC provides FREE Awareness Sessions to the interested party’s member schools. The number of sessions is dependent on the amount of money banked. Each session runs approximately 25 minutes in length and provides an overview of how to access the CDB and to best utilize the myriad of content and resources.
- CILC supplies the account balance monthly.
- A minimum deposit of $5,000 is required. For deposits of $5,000, CILC will retain unused funds at the end of the service year (end date determined in Agreement for Services). Deposits larger than $5,000 may roll over at the end of one year. Details will be determined between CILC and the interested party.
- For all services outlined above, the CILC service fee is 20% of the total dollars banked.
