Program Title: Frog or Toad: Can You Tell the Difference?
Impact on Learning
"This program was presented to adults, not students. All of the adults that were in attendance said that they learned at least one fact that they did not know...very interesting program content! We learned facts about frogs and toads, salamanders, Indian artifacts, butterflies..."

"Chris, the presenter, is both animated and engaging. Both of these characteristics are important for anyone presenting via distance. Her presentation style draws you in, and engages the audience. We would recommend this program to others."
Comments

Program Title: Sense of Adaptation
Impact on Learning
"The students were very engaged and learned about different adaptations. Many of the students had never heard the term "adaptation". By the end of the program, through the use of visuals and artifacts, I felt the students had a really good concept of adaptation. The presenter did an outstanding job and the students are already asking for other programs!
Thank you!"

Program Title: Wolf Ecology
Impact on Learning
"My students knew just a little bit about wolves prior to this program. But they were able to share many new facts and ideas that they learned directly from the Wolf Institute. In fact, we continued to discuss what we learned days after the program."
"I did learn more details about wolves and how they fit into the food chain. The hunting video clips demonstrated how hard the wolves have to work to get food."

"It was age appropriate and it fit in well with our ecosystem study we had just completed."

Program Title: Raising Achievement by Raising Confidence: Help for Struggling Math Students
Impact on Learning
"The strategies shared by Jeff were excellent. I would like to have the fee adjusted so teachers would be able to implement and then we would meet again for a Q and A and comments. On-going help would be excellent."
"I believe the teachers have to keep at this strategy shared by Jeff. He was very clear that the educator has to work on it daily, weekly, and to keep hard data. "

"We have so many struggling students. Many of my schools are not meeting their AYP or APIs."
Comments
"Passing Algebra is a continuing problem for 8th graders. Research with our UC schools has clearly shown that when students do not pass Algebra, the dropout rate increases especially by their sophomore year.
Not every teacher will read the suggested book by Zimmerman. If there were one or two teachers after the conference who would make a commitment to work on this strategy, I would like to work with them and have a follow-up with Mr. Harker "
