| Impact of Learning for Students | I think my students learned quite a bit. They had to use the French they have been learning. It was a great experience. Vanessa Weinlein went above and beyond in participating in this exchange. | |
| Impact of Learning for Teachers | Vanessa and I both learned a lot. | |
| Lessons Learned | It is extremely important to have a border controller if you have a Tandberg unit. The school in PA was using a different system and therefore needed to use different ports in our firewall than those we had permitted Tandberg units to use. We had some connection difficulties in the beginning; those are resolved now due to having installed a border controller. | |
| Additional Comments |
I highly recommend this type of activity. FL teachers! Even if you can't find a school where the target language is spoken, it is still worthwhile to hook up with another language class to do activities in the target language. If you have any questions, I would love to share what Vanessa and I did with you. I can even link you to some archived sessions of our activities. |
