| Program Description |
The Internet offers a way to make meeting state standards a vital and relevant journey. This dynamic three part blogging program allows you to accomplish three goals: you can help your students meet state standards without sacrificing creative learning, you can enhance their career and educational prospects by helping them build constructive and dynamic Internet habits, and you can transform the way they view writing. Internationally renowned speaker, child author, and blogger Adora Svitak teaches a dynamic blog-based writing program that allows students to use creative writing to enhance their interdisciplinary learning skills and develop their skills in a wide range of areas, including critical thinking, organization, descriptive writing, and persuasive writing. The program also encourages students to use writing as a way to process their life experiences, to explore writing as a form of entertainment and social interaction, and to gain a sense of ownership over writing. Each lesson is geared to help students meet specific national education standards. |
