| Program Description | This program entails the participation of students in creation and performance of poetry in a Videconference Café environment to connect students so they can share/ reflect on personal or global concerns. Pre-activities provided will encourage student’s poetry to reflect on issues discussed at Taking it Global in efforts to incorporate other students from around the world. Student’s poetry will be preformed by the authors during the Videoconference café on December 17th at 9:00 AKDT (10:00 Pacific, 11:00 Mtn, 12:00 Central, 1:00 Eastern) in which sites will be encouraged to create a coffee house environment as well as an extended invitation to virtual communities (via Skype connections or online synchronous café time) to view, participate, or judge the poetry slam. At completion students will compile their projects and submit them to KEA and/or Taking It Global to help begin Global connections with other students to do an international poetry slam. | |
