Program Description
Say goodnight to your favorite sea creatures as we virtually visit them after our aquarium closes. Get up close and personal, and learn about their habitats, behaviors, and conservation efforts. This virtual tour is led by Mote's knowledgeable and passionate guides who are excited to share their love of the ocean with you. They'll be available to answer any questions you may have and provide insight into the amazing creatures you'll see on the tour. So why wait? Book your virtual aquarium tour today and discover the magic of the underwater world from the comfort of your own home!

This tour is only available weekdays between 5:30pm–7:30pm ET (after our aquarium closes). Please make your requests at least three weeks in advance.
Program Format
  1. This tour begins with an introduction and orientation using our aquarium visitor map (mote.org/pages/aquarium-visitor-map).
  2. Virtual tour of Mote Aquarium after closing, visiting our Creatures from the Coastal Oceans exhibits. You will see lionfish, eels, clownfish, corals, jellies, salamanders, octopus, and more. Follow along with your own virtual bingo card (bingobaker.com#38f93008dc223e97).
  3. Time is allowed for questions and answers.
  4. After your visit, go to Mote's Flip Discovery Library for more free resources (admin.flipgrid.com/discovery/partners/mote-marine-laboratory).
Objectives
  1. Students will gain a better understanding of the form & function of ocean animals.
  2. Students will be able to recall different habitats and ocean animal adaptations.
  3. Students will understand why Mote studies our oceans.
  4. Students will appreciate the biodiversity in our ocean and the importance of protecting them.

Cancellation Policy

You may reschedule a lesson once per request at no charge for any reason by emailing seatrek@mote.org or calling 941-388-2904. Please let us know at least 48 hours prior to your lesson date. Fees will be waived due to technical problems only if they are reliably traced to a malfunction on our end. You may schedule a separate, free Tech Check prior to your lesson to ensure the quality of your connection here: cilc.org/ContentProvider/Program.aspx?id=7743

You may connect with us up to 10 minutes prior to your scheduled start time to ensure the quality of the connection. However, you must connect with us no later than 15 minutes after your start time to avoid cancellation and billing.

For lessons with a fee, an invoice will be sent to you after we confirm your requests. Requests for lessons are an obligation for payment. Checks should be made out to Mote Marine Laboratory, Inc.

Payment is due within 30 days of delivery of lessons. There will be a 5% interest charge per month on late invoices. Late payment may affect our ability to offer you connections in the future. If your organization cannot pay by check, please email us at educate@mote.org to arrange payment via credit card. All credit card transactions are subject to a base fee of $3.50 + 2.9% of your payment amount. This processing fee is non-refundable and is in addition to your program fees.

There is a convenience fee for calls that require rental of a H.323/SIP Room Connector. Weekend and after hours (5 pm ET) requests are available for an additional fee.
