Program image

Join Air & Space STEM Outreach for World AI Week and as they introduce students and classrooms to the exciting world of artificial intelligence (AI) in the U.S. Air Force. In addition to learning about AI’s role in the Air Force, students will also get a clear overview of what AI really is—and what it isn't! We’ll debunk common myths and misconceptions about AI.

Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow Katie Mauro will lead students in a discussion about the basics of AI. ChatGPT and DALL-E and explore how AI is implemented in fields you may not expect like fighting climate change and enhancing sports!

We will then welcome research engineer expert Dr. Nathan from the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL). Dr. will discuss his work in AI in the Air Force, as well as his career, education, and training. As questions arise, make sure your students write them down as we’ll be sure to save time at the end for a Q&A with the audience!
