“Costumes” in the Air Force

How many Halloween costumes in your classroom match Air Force uniforms? We bet there’s more than you think! Join Katie Mauro and Jordan Rader for a fun filled themed bingo game as we guess and explore the various “costumes” in the Air Force. Don’t forget to download and make your bingo boards so you’re to play! Costumes are encouraged!!   

Students will guess the job as we reveal tools used by each profession. What careers will we be exploring? A doctor with a stethoscope. A firefighter with a hoseAn engineer with a hardhatAnd of course, a pilot with sunglasses! 

Students will play along on their bingo boards as we discuss career. Who will get bingo first!

The Air & Space STEM Outreach virtual program series connects classrooms with scientists, engineers, researchers and other experts from across the Dept of the Air Force to explore careers and technologies in aerospace, aviation, cyber security and more. 

Programs are available for K-12 classrooms. Each program is prepared with Next Generation Science Standards in mind.

Program Details

Format

Prior to the presentation, we suggest students cut and paste together their bingo boards if you want to play along. Or use one bingo board for the entire class if time is limited. We will spend a moment revealing tools or items associated with a career as students guess. When the career is finally stated out loud, students will mark their bingo boards if there is a match.

Students will understand what STEM stands for.
Students will gain exposure to STEM careers.
Students will have a positive association with STEM.
