Leap into adventure with Wonders of Wildlife as you embark on an immersive VIP tour of our Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center! Plunge into the depths of turtle tales and discover how our skilled team nurses these shelled wonders back to tip-top shape. After exploring behind the scenes at the center itself, get a peek at the turtle’s triumphant return to the ocean once they're all patched up!


This program includes a 15 minute question and answer session with a conservation educator. As a virtual program, all animal visits are conducted via Zoom.

• Cancellations made two weeks or more prior to your scheduled program will be refunded the entire cost of the program(s), minus a $10 service fee.
• There will be no refunds for cancellations made less than two weeks prior to the scheduled program.
• In cases of snow and ice, we reserve the right to cancel a program for the safety of museum staff and animals. A full refund for the cost of the program will be granted if the program cannot be rescheduled.
• In cases of snow and ice where school is canceled and virtual learning is not an option, you reserve the right to reschedule the program for a later date.

Program Details

Format

1.We get a brief introduction with our presenter, as they give a brief background on themselves and Wonders of Wildlife.
2. We then discuss the life-cycle and anatomy of sea turtles
3. We then take a behind the scenes tour of our Rehabilitation center, hearing from experts and learning about why it is important to rehabilitate species!
4. We end by exploring the release process for turtles once they are healed
5. We then do an up to 15 minute Q&A.

Objectives

Participants will:
-Learn the basics of sea turtles life cycles and anatomy
-Observe a real rehab center and discover rehabilitation methods
- Explore how turtles are cared for, what they need to survive, and what the healing process looks like
- Learn about how turtles can be released once they are healthy
-Brainstorm ways to help sea turtles from home or the classroom
