FREE- World War II Home Front (Scheduled Program)

Every aspect of life on the American home front was focused towards winning World War II and everyone was asked to do their part to support the troops. Students will learn about Victory Gardens, rationing, and recycling programs that were a way of life for those on the home front. Activities include analyzing propaganda posters and budgeting ration points to buy necessary items.

Program Details

Format

1. This program begins with a brief introduction to World War 2 and the home front.
2. Program will share information about living in the U.S. during WW2 and how life changed.
3. Students will participate in interactive activities.

Objectives

Students will examine primary source artifacts to determine what they are and how they were used to help the war effort.
