Program Details

Format

1. See the current night sky and find planets among the stars.
2. Then leave Earth and explore the difference in temperature between Mercury and Venus.
3. Fly to the red planet Mars and explore conditions for life in the Solar System.
4. Visit Jupiter & Saturn and explore their moons.
5. Investigate the atmospheres of Uranus & Neptune.
5. Time will be left for Q&A.

Objectives

Participants will:
- Explore what influences a planet's surface temperature by visiting Mercury & Venus.
- See Mars as it looked 3.5 billion years ago, when the planet had water, and investigate modern Mars for evidence of ancient life.
- Discuss what factors cause Jupiter & Saturn to have dozens of moons.
