Program Details

Format

1. This program begins by exploring the night sky and what we can see with our eyes.
2. Next, we explore the history of telescopes and how they work.
3. We see the James Webb Telescope and its location in space, in orbit around the Sun, and explore what makes it unique.
4. We explore images taken by the telescope, focusing on the formations of stars and distant galaxies.
5. Time is left for Q&A.

Objectives

Participants will:
- Gain an understanding of how telescopes work.
- Explore the nature of orbits by viewing the location of the James Webb Space Telescope.
- Discuss images taken by the James Webb Space Telescope and what they teach us about the Universe.
