Program Details

Format

1. Program begins with introduction of presenter and location at zoo.
2. Program introduces habitat types and the concept of adaptations.
3. Participants will be introduced to different animals at the zoo and in the wild with adaptations that help them survive in their habitats.
4. Participants will learn about ways researchers are studying adaptations to help other animals around the world survive.
5. Q&A time will be held throughout the program with extra time at the end.

Objectives

Participants will:
-learn what adaptations are in nature.
-learn how animals use those adaptations to survive in harsh habitats.
-learn and understand the difference between habitats, ecosystems, and biomes.
