Utilizing resources such as the animal collection of Adventure Aquarium as well as natural spaces and public waterways around the Delaware and Cooper Rivers, the Center’s programs educate learners of all ages about marine science and promote environmental stewardship.

Objectives

Identify at least one trait that makes horseshoe crabs suited to their environment
Draw inferences about horseshoe crab anatomy, physiology, and behavior through careful observation
Explain horseshoe crabs role in medical research
Develop an appreciation for horseshoe crabs and other forms of aquatic life
Identify at least one threat to horseshoe crabs' continued survival
