Utilizing resources such as the animal collection of Adventure Aquarium as well as natural spaces and public waterways around the Delaware and Cooper Rivers, the Center’s programs educate learners of all ages about marine science and promote environmental stewardship.

A closer look at hippos
Debrief and Review

Objectives

Identify at least one trait that makes hippos suited to their environment
Identify characteristics of hippo anatomy, physiology, and behavior through observation and discussion
Develop an appreciation for hippos and other forms of aquatic life
Identify at least one threat to hippos' continued survival
