1. Students begin by learning the harmful effects of nicotine on the body.
2. Next we discuss current trends in marijuana use.
3. Students practice healthy self-regulation techniques.
4. The deceptive marketing tactics of the Tobacco industry are revealed.
Objectives
Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to:
1. Define nicotine salts as a solution made by combining a nicotine base with one or more acids.
2. State at least two negative effects that nicotine has on the body.
3. Define Cannabis Use Disorder as a mental health condition in which there is a pattern of cannabis use that causes distress or impairs a person’s life.
4. Practice a healthy self-regulation strategy to use when dealing with stress.
5. Experience through simulation the effects of marijuana use on perception and fine motor skills.
6. Recognize tactics that the tobacco industry uses to market their products.
