Format
1. This program begins with a discussion of where Australia is on a Map and why because of its isolation, it has very unique animals.
2. Next we talk about the different kinds of mammals in Australia.
3. Then we discuss birds, reptiles, and amphibians of Australia while viewing live animal examples
Objectives
The participant will:
- realize where Australia is on a map and why there are unique animals on this continent.
- learn about the monotremes, marsupials, reptiles, birds, and amphibians of Australia
- if time permits, the problems (introduced species,etc) that Australia is facing will be discussed.
