This course develops music and the performing arts to increase self confidence and self-esteem as well as learning new songs and learning about music,dance, and history.
We will explore the following:
How to move
How to sing beautifully
How to compose
How to create a piece of music at a distance (to
explore the historical past, such as King Henry the Eighth and Queen Elizabeth the First, their music, such as Greensleaves, and the way they sang.
We may explore the world of William Shakespeare.

Program Details

Format

We will begin with listening to Music.
We will then discuss the music.
We will then do some voice work.
We will look at a video about Queen Elizabeth.
we will look at dance and drama videos.
We will put some music together.
We will listen to sounds from percussion.
We will do some voice work exercises.
We will do some posture exercises.
We will explore more composition.
We will do some singing.
We will finish the lesson with questions and answers and some quiet music.

Objectives

The participants will:
-explore sound skills and listening skills,
-explore fast and slow sounds and beat,
-compare loud and soft sounds,
-practice voice skills,
-analyze how our posture,
-engage with the teacher in composition, and
-develop better eye contact.
