The effects of nicotine on the body are clearly demonstrated through activities and the use of plastinated human organs and students come to realize how unglamorous tobacco use actually is.

Schedule 5 of the same program on the same day and one will be free! For the UK, the fee is 98 British Pounds. Please include a purchase order number when you submit a reservation. Format

1.. We start off with what influences teens to smoke
2. Illustrate with videos how the smoking industry targets the teens
3. Use plastinated human organs to show the effects of smoking on the body
4. View harmful affects of chewing tobacco
5. We then explain 'costs' of smoking including monetary
6. We briefly explore different ways to quit tobacco use

Objectives

Upon completion of this program the student will be able to:
1. Identify influences that encourage teenagers to begin use tobacco products.
2. State that the tobacco industry targets specific groups in advertising.
3. Explain that as the tobacco industry increases spending on advertising there is also an increase in young tobacco users.
4. Identify the risks of nicotine use on the heart and cardiovascular system.
5. Identify the dangers of tars in tobacco products.
6. Explain how emphysema affects a person’s life.
7. Identify the three risks of electronic cigarette use.
8. List two dangers of smokeless tobacco use in the mouth and throat areas.
9. Analyze the costs of purchasing cigarettes over a span of time.
