Objectives
Upon completion of this program the student will be able to:
1. Identify influences that encourage teenagers to begin use tobacco products.
2. State that the tobacco industry targets specific groups in advertising.
3. Explain that as the tobacco industry increases spending on advertising there is also an increase in young tobacco users.
4. Identify the risks of nicotine use on the heart and cardiovascular system.
5. Identify the dangers of tars in tobacco products.
6. Explain how emphysema affects a person’s life.
7. Identify the three risks of electronic cigarette use.
8. List two dangers of smokeless tobacco use in the mouth and throat areas.
9. Analyze the costs of purchasing cigarettes over a span of time.
