Animal Coverings

Students will play a sorting game that illustrates how groups are formed using similarities and differences.
Concepts of living/non-living and plant/animal will be introduced. The terms vertebrate/invertebrate will be introduced. Live animals and animal biofacts will be used to teach the basic differences among the five classes of vertebrates: fish, birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians.

3. Students will play 2 games to evaluate what they learned.
4. Live animals and animal biofacts will reinforce the information discussed.
