1. Define bullying and the bullying circle.
2. Discuss why people bully.
3. Listen to short story about the “In Group” and participate in the “In Group” activity.
4. Identify different types of activities.
5. Watch Kitchen Cyberbullying video.
6. Identify what to do if you are the target of cyberbullying.
7. Look at ways to be an upstander.
8. Brainstorm ways to use technology in a positive manner.
Objectives
Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to:
1. Define bullying.
2. Identify the roles students play in the Bullying Circle.
3. Identify examples of bullying.
4. Define cyber bullying.
5. Compare and contrast bullying and cyber bullying.
6. Identify the effects of cyber bullying on the student who is bullied, on bystanders, and on the students who bully.
7. Recognize positive ways to use technology.
8. Identify reasons people think they can cyber bully others.
9. Identify steps to take if you or others are being cyber bullied.
