Any audience that books five programs at the same time can book a sixth for free (buy five get one free).

A purchase order or full payment is expected to be received three weeks after the program.

Each teacher will receive pre and post activities via email confirmation of the requested program.

Our availability includes: August 12th through May 13th. Due to conflicts with other onsite programs, Distance Learning programs will be temporarily unavailable during the summer. Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. If you would like a program outside of this time, please feel free to ask and we will see what we can do for you! Please reserve 3 weeks in advance when possible

Provider's Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY: In the event that a program must be canceled due to weather, technical issues, or other circumstances beyond the control of the Zoo or program recipient, the program may be rescheduled at a later date agreeable to both parties for no additional charge (dependent of availability). If cancellation occurs for any other reason than listed above, a cancellation fee will apply.

RESCHEDULING POLICY: In the event that a program needs to be rescheduled for any reason other than those listed above, then the Zoo must be notified at least three weeks before the date of the program. We do not reschedule inside the three weeks of the scheduled program date. A rescheduling fee will apply.

REFUND POLICY: Once registration is confirmed, the Greenville Zoo adheres to a no-refund, no-credit policy. If a program is canceled at any time for any reason other than those listed above, no refund or credit will be given. Substitution of another group of participants of the same age is permitted with prior notification given at least three weeks before the date of the program.

Format

1. Introduction to the term ‘Habitat’
2. Discuss basic animal needs
3. Discuss why animals need shelters
4. Discuss unique and interesting animal shelters

Objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:
1. Define the terms ‘adaptation’ and 'habitat'.
2. Identify three different cultural stories about animals.
3. Describe at least three reasons why an animal needs shelter to survive.
