Format
1. We will discuss where research project ideas come from. Even when the teacher assigns a project, the students can put their own spin on the topic.
2. We will discuss how to take a general topic and find a unique angle.
3. We will take research ideas submitted by the students and discuss the possible ways to approach the topic.
4. I will model critical thinking skills involved with developing ideas.
Objectives
1. The participant will gain insight into how to develop an idea for a research project.
2. The participant will participate in critical thinking skills required to think “outside the box” about their research.
3. The participant will learn simple steps to take that will make their research papers easier to accomplish.
