Format
Programs begin with an age appropriate presentation covering:
1. Intro to sea turtle characteristics
2. Discussion of common injuries to sea turtles
3. Participants asked to brainstorm ways we can help
4. Introduction to sea turtles and the treatment that they receive at our facility
5. Time allowed for questions and answers
Programs for older students & adult learners will include more detail about medical treatments & veterinary care.
Objectives
Participants will:
- Identify common characteristics of turtles
- List threats to sea turtles
- Identify ways we can protect sea turtles
- Develop an appreciation for ocean conservation
