Format

1. What do you know about roses already?
2. We will explore where the rose came from and the variety of roses over time based on human selection and cultivation.
3. We'll discover the place of roses in history and human cultures.
4. Highlight some roses and other plants in RBG's new sustainable rose garden designed for the 21st century
5. Time will be allowed for questions.

Objectives

The participant will:
- explore how the rose influenced events in history
- discover the variety of uses
- develop an appreciation of different types of roses and 21st century garden design
