#DiscoverDL Wild Discoveries! Wacky Animals + Careful Observation = Writing Fun, by H. Montgomery

from Authors on Call, iNK Think Tank

Program image

Hot pink millipedes, slime-shooting worms,
see-through frogs... glimpsing into scientists' journal entries, participants make
their own wild discoveries through careful observation and descriptive writing! During this interactive video conference, nonfiction author Heather L. Montgomery will share stories of the weird, the wacky, the all-out gross animals which have recently been discovered. With a focus on cutting-edge science, participants learn the critical role that observation, documentation, and descriptive writing play in the quest for discovery.

Participants should come prepared with paper, pencil, and something to bear down on as the program includes a short, fun, descriptive writing challenge.
