Students will participate in activities focusing on the 3R's (reduce, reuse, recycle) and are encouraged to "rethink" their use of planet Earth’s renewable and nonrenewable resources.

Program Details

Format

This is an interactive session where students will have the opportunity to

answer questions posed throughout the video conference. The program

contains images and video clips. Students will be involved in a small group

activity.

Objectives

The student will:

· Learn a brief history of Earth Day

· Learn the terms renewable and nonrenewable resources and that

some resources are limited

· Differentiate between the terms reduce, reuse and recycle.

· Understand that reducing, reusing and recycling can save resources.
