Program Details

Format

Engage in online digital creation of 3D models and learn how to create intricate pieces designed for 3D printing using Autodesk Tinker-cad.

Can be taught as an Introduction to 3D Printing or as a Series of Programs diving deep into 3D Printing development and design.

Objectives

Students will explore the world of engineering and design through 3D Printing on Tinker-cad. Watch as your ideas come to life with 3-Dimensional models and use this foundation in various subject areas!

Standards Alignment

National Standards

3-5-ETS1-1 Define a simple design problem reflecting a need or a want that includes specified criteria for success and constraints on materials, time, or cost.

MS-ETS1-4 Develop a model to generate data for iterative testing and modification of a proposed object, tool, or process such that an optimal design can be achieved.

HS-ETS1-2 Design a solution to a complex real-world problem by breaking it down into smaller, more manageable problems that can be solved through engineering.
