Format
1. This program will begin with a brief overview of EarthEcho International and STEM careers
2. The featured STEMExplore Mentor will tell us their story, where they came from and how they became interested in their career.
3. We will learn about the STEMExplore Mentor's career and how their work contributes to a sustainable future.
4. Participants will be able to ask questions and interact with the featured speaker via chat and interactive video.
5. Time for questions and answers will be woven throughout the program.
Objectives
Through STEMExplore, students and STEM professionals will interact, allowing participants to gain familiarity with various career pathways and thus remove a barrier to pursuing these types of STEM careers. Participating students will interact with approachable STEM professionals who are interested in speaking with them. The participants will also learn valuable interview preparation and execution skills using interactive video technology as the medium.

NGSS STANDARDS :
MS-PS3-5: Construct, use, and present arguments to support the claim that when the kinetic energy of an object changes, energy is transferred to or from the object. Science and Engineering Practices Planning and Carrying Out Investigations - Planning and carrying out investigations to answer questions or test solutions to problems in 6–8 builds on K–5 experiences and progresses to include investigations that use multiple variables and provide evidence to support explanations or design solutions.
PS3.A: Definitions of Energy - A system of objects may also contain stored (potential) energy, depending on their relative positions.
MS-PS3-2: Crosscutting Concepts Systems and Models - Models can be used to represent systems and their interactions
MSPS3-5: Energy and Matter - Energy may take different forms (e.g. energy in fields, thermal energy, energy of motion).
