Join a SCUBA?diver from underwater at the Texas State Aquarium! Practice your fish identification skills, observe fish feeding, and learn about the adaptations of coral reef fish. As you see the diver’s perspective with our underwater footage, you will have a chance to ask your questions! During this program, you’ll discover the skills we use every day to care for our animals and learn how you can help conserve coral reefs from your classroom.

Program Details

Format

1. Studio presenter introduces habitat.
2. Diver uses underwater camera to help students identify fish.
3. Students observe fish feeding.
4. Question and Answer session with Diver.
5. Conservation message.

Objectives

Students can name 2-3 adaptations of coral reef fish.
Students can name STEM skills Aquarium professionals use to care for animals.
Students can name 2 actions they can do to help coral reef habitats.
