Program Details

Format

1. This program begins with a discussion about what enrichment is.
2. We then talk to a zookeeper and view enrichment with a zoo animal
3. We will show different types of enrichment given to different animals
4. Then, we will explore different types of enrichment you can make for your pets at home.
5. We end the program by visiting an exhibit and delivering enrichment to an animal live.

Objectives

1. Understand the role of and different types of enrichment for animals
2. Design and create their own enrichment for a pet
3. Develop an appreciation of animal behavior and care
