A to Zoo

engaging program will help your students connect their literacy skills to
science knowledge.  During this session,
students will review the alphabet song while connecting letters to live
Ambassador Animals from the Lee Richardson Zoo. 
We’ll help you bring the alphabet to life right in your classroom! 

The Lee Richardson Zoo's Distance Learning Studio offers a
multitude of environmental programs to students all over the nation. Our
programs include 2-4 live animals. However, we are currently unable to give
programs from actual exhibits around the zoo.

The fee for all Distance Learning programs is $130 per program. Payment in full must be received no later than twenty-four (24) hours before the program is scheduled to occur.

CANCELLATION POLICY: In the event that a program must be canceled due to weather, technical issues, or other circumstances beyond the control of the Zoo or program recipient, the program may be rescheduled at a later date agreeable to both parties for no additional charge (dependent on availability).
REFUND POLICIES: Once registration is confirmed, the Lee Richardson Zoo adheres to a no-refund, no-credit policy. If a program is canceled at any time for any reason other than those listed above, no refund or credit will be given. The substitution of another group of participants of the same age is permitted with prior notification.

Program Details

Format

This program begins by introducing the term animals and how animals can be grouped as living with people, domestic, or without people, as wildlife.
2. Review the alphabet while showcasing the animals whose name starts with a letter from the alphabet.
3. Meet two to three Ambassador Animals.
4. Discover what we can do to help wildlife in our backyard.
5. Wrap-up.

Objectives

•Review the alphabet.
•Students will be able to explain one action they can do at home to help wildlife.
• Students will be able to provide examples of animal names that start with the letters A, B, and C.
