Program Details

Format

1) Program opens with a basic explanation and introduction of the topic
2) We will begin interactive discussion on Lewis and Clark's three important goals on their journey of exploration through the Louisiana Purchase.
3) Time is set aside for questions at the closing (as well as throughout the presentation)

Objectives

After attending The Durham Museum’s On the Trail with Lewis and Clark Class, students will:
1- Identify the goals of the Lewis and Clark expedition.
2- Identify examples of animals discovered on the Lewis and Clark expedition.
3- Describe the relationship of the members of the Lewis and Clark expedition with Native Americans.
