Using live view of the aquarium shark webcams and biofact exploration, students will take a deep dive into the world of sharks, investigating their unique adaptations, including body structure, senses, and shark teeth.

Program Details


Learners will explore the world of sharks through observation and exploration of shark characteristics, adaptations, and diversity.
This class will include the following:
1. Share prior knowledge about sharks
2. Observe webcams of shark lagoon
3. Discuss shark characteristics
4. Discuss shark senses
5. Explore shark diversity through pictures, footage, and jaw biofacts.


Learners will:
- use observation to describe shark characteristics
- compare and contrast shark species to understand how they are adapted to different ocean habitats
- analyze shark jaw models and use evidence to discuss shark feeding strategies
