Just as Man has used the sea to journey around the world for thousands of years, The Mariners’ now uses Interactive Videoconferencing to offer programming to schools across the country and around the globe.
The Mariners' Museum, one of the largest and most comprehensive maritime history museums in the world, houses a treasure trove of more than 35,000 items inspired by human experiences with the sea.

Program Details

Format

1. Students identify China on a world map and different geographical features.
2. Students learn about ancient Chinese vessels.

Objectives

1. Students will learn about the history and culture of ancient China.
2. Students will learn about ancient Chinese sailing vessels.
3. Students will explore the importance of water to ancient civilizations.
