The My Healthy Body program expands upon foundational concepts covered in the Inside Story program. In the My Healthy Body program, participants will be introduced to the simple function of basic body parts including bones, muscles, and several vital organs. This program focuses on four habits for a healthy lifestyle including nutrition (food & drink) through the 5 food groups on MyPlate.gov, physical exercise (aerobic & anaerobic), proper rest, and cleanliness (proper handwashing).

Pricing - $350 per program for 1-50 students; $600 per program for 51-100 students

A tiered pricing system is utilized based on the number of program participants which will be discussed at the time of scheduling.

**Please provide approximately 4 weeks' notice when scheduling.

Provider's Cancellation Policy

A fee of 25% will be charged to sites that cancel with 15-3 days notice.
A full 100% fee will be charged to sites that cancel with less than 48 hours notice.
No fee will be charged to programs cancelled due to natural causes (weather, etc.)

Located in south central Pennsylvania, Byrnes Health Education (BHE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that remains dedicated to the mission of educating and inspiring people of all ages to make healthy choices since 1995.

We are proud to offer a variety of preventive health education programs to students (grades PreK-12) and adults (workplace, parents, teachers). Those local to our area can experience our "in-person" programs either here at our center or at their location. Additionally, now thanks to technology, participants outside of our "in-person" reach can experience our "live-virtual" webcast programs during which a BHE health educator streams live from one of our five teaching theaters, Participants in all programs are presented vital health content while being engaged through interactive visuals, props, exhibits, activities, and experiments,

Program subject areas include Social/Emotional (character education/bullying prevention), substance abuse prevention, general health, human development, nutrition & fitness, oral health, and safety & disease prevention. All program content is based on factual scientific information, and guided and mapped to state and national health education standards (as well as those in several Canadian providences).

1. Outside body parts: skin, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, hair
.2. Inside body parts; bones and muscles with Charlie-Chan-the-Boney-Man
3. Inside Body Parts: organs (heart, lungs, liver, stomach, intestines, and brain) with the Organ Apron
4. Healthy habits for the body: nutrition and 5 food groups with MyPlate.gov
5.. Healthy habits for the body: physical activity with the Heart Machine
6. Healthy habits for the body: rest
7. Healthy habits for the body: cleanliness with Germ Lotion


At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
1. State the function of basic body parts
a. Inside: bones, muscles
b. Organs: heart, lungs, liver, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, and brain
2. Identify four habits that promote good health: nutrition, physical activity, rest, cleanliness.
3. Identify ways that our bodies are similar and different
