Provider's Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY: In the event that a program must be canceled due to weather, technical issues, or other circumstances beyond the control of the Zoo or program recipient, the program may be rescheduled at a later date agreeable to both parties for no additional charge (dependent of availability). If cancellation occurs for any other reason than listed above, a cancellation fee will apply.

RESCHEDULING POLICY: In the event that a program needs to be rescheduled for any reason other than those listed above, then the Zoo must be notified at least three weeks before the date of the program. We do not reschedule inside the three weeks of the scheduled program date. A rescheduling fee will apply.

REFUND POLICY: Once registration is confirmed, the Rosamond Gifford Zoo adheres to a no-refund, no-credit policy. If a program is canceled at any time for any reason other than those listed above, no refund or credit will be given. Substitution of another group of participants of the same age is permitted with prior notification given at least three weeks before the date of the program.

Program Details

Format

1. Participants will explore animals that either survive, adapt or thrive in the cold weather using pictures, video, live animals and chats.
2. Meet animal guests around the zoo and discover how they survive in their habitats during the wintertime.
3. Participant interaction with facilitator using a variety of options such as the chat feature, polls, live discussion, question/answer session, etc.

Objectives

Participants will be able to:
1. Discover the different habitats that get snow and cold weather.
2. Identify animals that adapt/survive the cold weather.
3. Identify animals that thrive in cold weather..
4. Discover animals that enjoy the snow
