Join Leslie McGarry from the Kwakwaka’wakw – Kwagiulth First Nation on a 30 minute tour of the First Peoples gallery. This trip may include exploring traditional ceremonies the Jonathan Hunt House, discovering the craftsmanship of the Haida Argillite carvings, and the cultural diversity of Totem Hall.

Format

Depending on participate needs, the format may change. However, the format usually falls under this structure:

1. Program begins with introductions to Royal BC Museum, presenters, and an overview of program.
2. Educator/presenter guides the participates through the gallery, sharing their knowledge and expertise of the First Peoples gallery through stories, displays, and artifacts
3. Time is allowed for questions and answers throughout and at the end
