As our partner demonstration to Science Below Zero, Science Below Zero 2.0 continues to examine some of the chilliest science on the planet. We'll explore how liquid nitrogen is used in careers as well as everyday life. We'll make homemade ice cream, create indoor snow, and make balloons disappear!

Serving our five-state region since 1976, DHDC is an interactive, hands-on science learning center which hosts tens of thousands of participants through our Education Program each year.

Our distance learning sessions feature our Science Live! shows which are 45 to 60-minute long "edu-tainment" events bursting with hair-raising demonstrations and explosive results live-streamed into your classrooms and auditoriums in spectacular high definition.  Funny, engaging, and jam-packed with learning, Science Live! will leave your students cheering for more!

Program Details

Format

This program will begin with a discussion on lab safety, we'll then discuss what ln2 is, how is changes phases, how it is used in different careers, and what fun things we can do with it. Before we do our last demonstration, making ln2 snow, we'll do a snow lab using the scientific method to find the best snow recipe. We'll end with time for Q&A.

-learn how the scientific method can be used practically
-discuss careers involving ln2 and what degrees are required to do those jobs
