Drugs: Dilemmas & Decisions is designed to present realistic information for high school students to be able to make informed healthy decisions for themselves. This program begins with a general introduction to substance abuse, patterns of and common reasons for use/misuse/abuse, drug classifications, and the function of the nervous system. Then, scheduling site must choose two of the following substances to be covered: alcohol, cocaine, ecstasy, heroin (opioids), inhalant abuse, marijuana, medicine abuse, methamphetamine, tobacco (nicotine/vaping), and/or synthetic drugs (K2/Spice).

By Request: $315.00

The minimum price per program is $315.00 - (1-75 participants).

A tiered pricing system is utilized based on the number of program participants which will be discussed at the time of scheduling.

IMPORTANT - 2023 Fee Increase as of 7/1/23
$350 per program for 1-50 participants
$600 per program for 51-100 participants
If the program is booked by 6/30/23 for a date between July and September 2023, you will be charged the 2022 rate of $315.
If the program request is received 7/1/23 or later, the new fee will be charged.

**Please provide approximately 4 weeks' notice when scheduling.

Provider's Cancellation Policy

A fee of 25% will be charged to sites that cancel with 15-3 days notice.
A full 100% fee will be charged to sites that cancel with less than 48 hours notice.
No fee will be charged to programs cancelled due to natural causes (weather, etc.)

We are proud to offer a variety of preventive health education programs to students (grades PreK-12) and adults (workplace, parents, teachers). Those local to our area can experience our "in-person" programs either here at our center or at their location. Additionally, now thanks to technology, participants outside of our "in-person" reach can experience our "live-virtual" webcast programs during which a BHE health educator streams live from one of our five teaching theaters, Participants in all programs are presented vital health content while being engaged through interactive visuals, props, exhibits, activities, and experiments,

Program subject areas include Social/Emotional (character education/bullying prevention), substance abuse prevention, general health, human development, nutrition & fitness, oral health, and safety & disease prevention. All program content is based on factual scientific information, and guided and mapped to state and national health education standards (as well as those in several Canadian providences).

1. Define a drug including intake methods and classifications on how they affect the body
2. Explain the effects of the two selected drugs on the body
3. Define Substance Use Disorder as a brain based disease
