Virtual Passport Day: Around the World Series

Let us do the planning as you take a virtual trip through time and
across continents. Learn more about ancient and world cultures through
live virtual interactive workshops and hands-on making activities. This
special event series is open to all home learners, pods, K-12 students,
and K-12 classrooms.

3. Virtual Passport Day: Greece & Rome
4. Virtual Passport Day: Asia
5. Virtual Passport Day: Africa &Egypt
6. Virtual Passport Day: Mesopotamia

Each Virtual Passport theme day includes two 45-minute live
virtual sessions scheduled at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Registrants also
gain access to a virtual classroom space full of digital activities,
videos, and articles to further explore the theme throughout the day.
Each student will receive a Virtual Passport worksheet to keep track of where you have “traveled” during each session.

Programs will be held in a webinar format that offers an easy one-click connection to share in your classroom or with your learners joining remotely. Upon registration, we will provide more information about how to connect on this platform, which you can share with your technology team.

Cost: (30 students per workshop)

Format

Virtual Passport Days offer you an opportunity to learn more about ancient and world cultures with live virtual visit and digital activities.

Schedule:
11:00 am Making Morning - Learners get hands-on with guided activities centered around Penn Museum collection objects
12:00 pm LUNCH BREAK - Explore digital resources individually with a provided PDF while you take a break in the Virtual Classroom
1:00 pm Anthro Afternoon - Dig deeper into the theme of the day through interactive conversation with Penn Museum educators or experts

1. Strengthen observation and reasoning skills through close looking at artifacts
2. Develop their vocabulary through interactive conversations
3. Make connection between ancient and modern societal practices
4. Experiment with shapes, patterns, and figurative scenes to create a personal designs
