Program Details

Format

Open with an introduction re nonfiction books and research. Go to the lively Keynote slide presentation, starting with a short video trailer with sounds and music, and then discuss up to 30 of the most interesting animals in the Amazon rainforest, illustrated with detailed colorful slides. Next, a short "visit' to my art and writing studio. Then Q&A, live, with Roxie.

Objectives

- To teach children, showing beautiful detailed examples, about the many wonderful creatures who call the rainforest their home.
- How animals relate to and depend on each other, and their importance to humans,
- Discussion about preserving rainforests, the ways we can help these valuable creatures, and why we should.
