Format
- Welcome and introductions; discuss Q&A
- First performer introduces the concept of the show, and we are on the way to our first South American country (the exact countries will depend on which of our performers are available). We learn a bit about the culture and music of that country, and the cross-cultural connections of that music; then sing along to a characteristic folkloric song.
- Our journey continues to the next South American country, where we explore some the geographic and cultural regions and learn how to build a simple instrument, and then dance and sing along to a famous song.
- We continue to a third country where we explore the connections between European, African and South American instruments, and consider why that connection exists.
- Finally we end up in the festive city of Rio De Janeiro, where everyone learns how to sing and dance a samba!
