Format
1. This program begins with a demonstration of how plaque forms on teeth and why brushing is
important
2. We then discuss tooth brushing and how much toothpaste to use
3. Then we discuss how to prevent tooth decay by eating healthy foods
4. Participants engage in an activity to decide which things are healthy for teeth and which are not
5. Then we review and have a question-and-answer session
Objectives
Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to:
1. Adults will recognize proper dental hygiene habits for everyday care.
2. Adults will demonstrate proper flossing and brushing techniques.
