Format
1. This program begins with identifying the four keys of staying healthy.
2. We then walk through a pill bottle label and how to read it.
3. We talk about the effects of prescription drug abuse.
4. Then we talk about when it is okay to take medicine and who to take it from.
5. Lastly we go through some scenarios of who to take medicine from and how to say “No” to drugs.
Objectives
Upon completion of this program, the student will be able to:
1. Name the four Keys to Staying Healthy- Healthy Eating, Exercise, Sleep, Happiness.
2. Identify at least one harmful effect of prescription medication abuse.
3. Provide examples of when it is okay to take prescription medications.
4. Demonstrate the most effective drug refusal techniques.
